With Jumia’s Affiliate Program, Kenyans are earning between Ksh 5,000 and Ksh 50,00andper month depending on effort and traffic.
Then there’s the rise of agri-preneurship. In counties like Kirinyaga, Kiambu, and Nyandarua, youths are embracing short-term, high-yield crops like strawberries and mushrooms. With just Ksh 5,000 capital, some are earning profits of up to Ksh 20,000 per harvest, thanks to online markets and direct delivery models via WhatsApp.

These smart hustles are more than just survival tricks—they’re creating financial independence, confidence, and community development. They also show that with internet access, creativity, and consistency, it's possible to turn small ideas into sustainable income sources.
The government, through the Ajira Digital Program, is also supporting this movement by training youth on digital skills and offering workspaces.
